Dubai: Dh50,000 fine for throwing NYE Party
Dubai: With 2020 drawing to a close, you may be hoping to catch up with family and friends to ring in the new year. However, it is important to follow COVID-19 precautionary measures outlined by health authorities in the UAE and the World Health Organisation (WHO) to protect yourself and the community.
In an announcement made on December 26, Dubai’s Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management informed people in Dubai to follow certain guidelines that need to be adhered to. Here is all you need to know about partying safely for New Year’s Eve.
Maximum people allowed in a private party - 30
According to the announcement, family gatherings and events organised in tents and homes are allowed to accommodate a maximum of 30 people, subject to compliance with the rule of one person per four square metres of venue space.
Social distancing to be always maintained
Even though a maximum of 30 people have been allowed, it is important to note that you would also need to ensure that the people attending are always wearing a face mask and practising a social distance of at least two metres at all times.
